I traveled around to different states for awhile and staying at this site was so relaxing for me after a hard days work. The management is easiy to get along with and anyone that travels around knows that is a PLUS. The atmosphere is just what I needed. Also I like to eat fresh fish/guess what? There is a pond on the site! I would recomend this to everyone that has a love for nature.

We stayed here in our rv for a few months. Its a great place for families. The park ranger, David Barr, is a great guy. Always there when you need him, whether its a broke pipe, downed limbs from a storm, or just a good conversation. my wife and I loved our stay and will stay again when we can. The beach is always clean, workers always nice, and the outdoor fun is endless. If you stay here, make sure to head over to the primative areas boat launch and walk the hidden river rock trails along the bank. My wife and I did this countless times, and we loved it.

This is a great campground! We loved the trees and natural areas (lots of them). The bath houses were fine...nothing fancy, but with water pressure enough to knock you down...and with HOT water when we wanted it. The staff were helpful and friendly. Free WiFi in the office/pool area. The natural springs pool, although cold, was usually the gathering place for many people. Some people just swam in the creek next to the pools; it was shallow and safe but warmer. The cold did not keep anyone out. Quiet and small campground, but really a good choice for families with small children (lots of play areas) as long as the small children didn't wander off to the creek or the really pretty pond. It would have been a long walk for little ones, so that probably wouldn't happen. If I lived closer, I'd be at Blue Springs often. I gave it an 8 because of no grocery store nearby (something we depend on usually). There is a great restaurant right outside the gate and one just a few miles away (world's greatest hamburgers). There is a General Dollar about 6 miles away and Walmarts within 30 miles. Really a beautiful, well-kept campground.

Campground was noisy. The people camping next to us cut down a tree during the night and had to leave the next morning. There were at least two campsites that had empty beer cans all around one morning. The bath houses were fair in their condition. Probably won't stay there again.
