My husband and our two dogs have camped here three times in our 40-foot RV and have found this park to be the nicest in the Angel Fire / Eagle Nest area. We have stayed elsewhere and prefer this one to the others. This one actually has nice grassy areas and huge dog walking areas and supplies provided for the dogs. The owners are friendly and easy to get to know and were so helpful when we had an equipment malfunction!! They saved the day for us! They even dog sat for us when we had to run into town for parts! Amazing. The park is quiet and peaceful with such nice views of the sunsets over the mountains. We enjoyed a nice fire at night and had friends over for s'mores, too. Couldn't be better. Highly recommended.

We camped here over a weekend in a tent trailer with our two children. After we had made reservations, we had heard from other friends that this campground had too many rules and that they did not enjoy staying there. When we checked in, we were told that they could not accept payment at that time, but might be able to the next day. We were assigned a certain spot, and we were helped by one of the owners. We were given some of the rules of the campground: Quiet hours were 9-9, the common area in the center of the campground was not for pets, parking was only on the gravel not on the grass etc. We could not park an additional vehicle on the area next to the road even though this did not affect the traffic flow of the road. My son tried to play in the very small common area and started hanging from a tree branch. He was told that he was not allowed to play on the trees cause they were fragile. There is no playground or much for a kid to do. The sites are very close together. There are picnic tables in the common area, but none in the area next to your rv. A portable fire pit was available, but we had to ask for it. We were told not put the fire pit on top of the tall grass. The worst part about this camprgound really is the owners. They run it like a gestapo. They patrol all day and into the night looking for infractions. They came by no less than 4 times in the first afternoon we were there. That never stopped all weekend. We were told by our neighbors that they made him stop using a dremel tool during the day cause it was too loud. Different people seemed to have different rules. We were told that our dog had to walked at the far end of the campground whereas others we allowed to walk on the perimeter of the campground. When we went to pay, we were told that we were given a discount cause they did not charge us for the "extra people". By extra people, she was referring to our children that stayed in our rv. Do not stay at this campground!
