| This is a great campground! We loved the trees and natural areas (lots of them). The bath houses were fine...nothing fancy, but with water pressure enough to knock you down...and with HOT water when we wanted it. The staff were helpful and friendly. Free WiFi in the office/pool area. The natural springs pool, although cold, was usually the gathering place for many people. Some people just swam in the creek next to the pools; it was shallow and safe but warmer. The cold did not keep anyone out. Quiet and small campground, but really a good choice for families with small children (lots of play areas) as long as the small children didn't wander off to the creek or the really pretty pond. It would have been a long walk for little ones, so that probably wouldn't happen. If I lived closer, I'd be at Blue Springs often. I gave it an 8 because of no grocery store nearby (something we depend on usually). There is a great restaurant right outside the gate and one just a few miles away (world's greatest hamburgers). There is a General Dollar about 6 miles away and Walmarts within 30 miles. Really a beautiful, well-kept campground. |
