We stayed for two days on Sept. 13th. and Sept. 14th. 2010. It looked sort of run down to us and was not well kept up. It is about 6 miles west of Ephrata and sort of isolated from everything else. It needs a lot of sprucing-up done and though the staff was friendly I got the feeling they haven't been operating this RV Park very long. We got a Good Sam's member discount for two nights in our motor home and the price was $46.16 which is about 23.08 including the tax. The price was not bad but sort of a boring RV park. It has a fairly nice outdoor swimming pool as well and the rec. room with a pool table (lacking a cue ball) with a small library, microwave, refrigerator and small electric range and sink. Laundromat is in separate area of same building with a door and windows between them and a separate entrance for rec. room and laundry room. The Oasis RV Park in Ephrata is a much cleaner and fresher atmosphere than Stars And Stripes RV Park and wish we had stayed at Oasis instead. The two RV Parks are only about 5 to 6 miles apart. We give Stars And Stripes RV Park about (4 stars) out of a possible 10 stars as it is somewhat less eye friendly and needs better care. It could (once again) be a nice place with some owner effort. The water is very high with alkali and smells like rotten eggs which is not unusual for desert water. I'm assuming they have well water (being outside of town) so suggest you bring your own water for drinking.

Camp hosts tend to pick on other people quite often about pointless stuff. Not impressed I feel bad for the people who stay monthly. Don't know how they deal with them nit picking at every little thing, complaining about things that are not on the list of rules, And not letting people at peace. Just handles things very poorly and rudely this is one place we will never attend again and we will be sure to warn others as well until new camp hosts are assigned.
