I have stayed there for eight yrs. No better place to spend time. The most scenic campgrounds around, plus so many things to do. Mike, and crew will treat you just like family. I do plan to get back this summer.

Noisy from location next to Interstate 65. Beach had lots of goose droppings. You pay for everything here. Firewood must be purchased at the office because of emerald ash borer. 90% of the trees were pine. This was clearly a scam to force you to buy their firewood. Lots of seasonal campers, mostly self-contained. Also construction workers for nearby windmill construction. Friendly and well behaved. Restrooms and showers were very clean but only one bathroom for the entire campground.

Stayed Memorial Weekend 2010 Overall our experience was negative. Our first impression was that the amenities were run down and in need of update and/or repair. Camp sites were not maked, were without firerings (must be rented) and picnic tables were scarce. The pool was overcrowded and murky. Playground equipment was not very safe. The camp had an overall party atmosphere with no drinking or smoking restrictions. Golf carts were numerous and not always courteous. While many activities were offered for adults and children, many of them came at an extra cost. As a Chritian family, the atmosphere was not one to which we wish to expose our young daughter. We do not plan on returning to Gordon's in the future.

Although the store staff was very friendly and helpful, my family will never stay here again. The advertised "heated pool" was far from it. My children had blue lips and were shivering the entire time they swam. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING!! All of the shower curtains were moldy in both of the bathrooms we used. By Sunday night, we all decided to not shower and just go home dirty on Monday. The alternative was too gross to think about. We were having to wade through mud on the floors to go to the bathroom.

There weren't any grates on the small fire pits. When I inquired about this, I was told I could buy one for $43.00. The campsites were very small. We had 6 sites and felt like our tents were on top of each other.

I DO NOT recommend this campsite!!

Terrible campsite, don't waste your time. Everything nancy said is accurate, about the same experience.
