I just had to write a review when I heard what these other folks said. We were camping next to them!! This group of families almost ruined our vacation! It was so quiet and peaceful until they arrived. This is our favorite campground and we like how it's run.

They arrived late, around 10PM. The kids were yelling and running around, but the parents did nothing about it. We gave up trying to sleep and sat by our fire until they went to bed.

The next day we found out just how "considerate" they were. This is a great fishing river, but every time my husband tried to go fishing those kids would be throwing rocks into the river right where he was. They almost hit him! He finally gave up until they left on Sunday.

The kids were everywhere and played on everyone's site and the parents said nothing. One of the boys on the site next to us was hitting rocks with his metal baseball bat, must have done it for at least an hour. He finally stopped when his dad yelled at him for almost hitting him with a rock. It didn't matter that the constant noise was driving us up a wall.

The kids kept cutting through our site to get to the river. It didn't matter that they had their own large river sites to play on. There was no reason that these kids couldn't play on their stretch of the river, they had big sites. Stay off of ours!

On Saturday night they stayed up late again, really late and kept us awake. We were so happy when it started raining, we hoped they would go to bed. Then they started up a car and kept the headlights on, which was totally annoying when you want to sleep. We had some loud voices and finally the car was turned off. Didn't these idiots realize that people around them were trying to sleep.

We heard the campground owners talk to the parents and kids several times, but they could have cared less. These people were selfish, only cared about themselves, they had no respect for anyone camping around them.

We were so happy when they left Sunday morning, everyone was. We camp here for peace and quiet, not to annoyed by self centered parents and bratty kids. The owners apologized to us about the noise and gave us a free night of camping. We really appreciated that extra night, we needed it.

We camp here for the quiet and the beautiful river. Which by the way is fun to tube in. We also like their farm animals. Their website states they are a quiet campground and it also tells you they have a farm. That's what attracted us. I'm so glad that this was not our first time camping here, otherwise I might thought that these awful campers were their normal crowd.

This is the only place we would camp in the Catskills. We've been a seasonal camper here for several years and love it! The campground owners Heidi and Scott run a nice family campground! The place is clean and the farm animals add a nice touch of country atmosphere. Most campers love that they can feed and pet them. I can't believe someone would leave a bad review. What Mike W didn't tell you was that he and his friends were trouble from the get go. Or that he made up this bad review as retaliation. I was witness to several of the problems that occurred that weekend. As soon as they arrived, the kids immediately started chasing the ducks. I heard the owner, Heidi tell the parents the kids had to stop chasing them. The parent asked her why she didn't keep the ducks away from the kids. I laughed when Heidi ask her why she couldn't control her children. She also told her it was the parents responsibility to watch their children and to make certain they behave. Mike W and his friends also brought a dog that didn't have proof of rabies vaccination. All campgrounds require this. I know it's listed on the campground website and Heidi tells all dog owners about it. When they couldn't produce proof or contact their vet, Heidi told them the dog had to leave. I was in the office when this happened and they hit the roof. They were furious with her and told her she was ruining their vacation. She told them rabies vaccination was a state law. So one person left with dog and the rest of the group stayed. However, they then took it out on everyone around them. They were loud and rude. The kids were awful, their parents could care less how they behaved. The owners spoke to them numerous times. The incident with the van actually occurred at 1AM. Being I was with the owner, I can tell you it certainly didn't play out as he described. The police almost had to be calmed to get them to be quiet and go to bed. The owners got so tired of talking to them, they almost got kicked out Saturday night. Needles to say, everyone was glad to see them leave on Sunday. This includes not only the tent campers but the seasonal campers as well. So if you want a nice quiet campground, come visit here. You'll soon see that Mike W wasn't very truthful.

My family all gets together in the fall and goes on a camping trip every year. This year we waited too long to book our reservations at our favorite campground so..it was booked all season.

So we went on a hunt to find a "pet friendly" campground with cabin rentals. My sister and her husband really can't leave their dogs and I usually take my two because they love it too. Anyway we came across BLACK BEAR CAMPGROUNDS-Florida, N.Y. booked this past weekend and had a wonderful time! We all loved it! The couple who owned the campground were so polite and welcoming.

The place itself was great because it was clean and inside the cabins are a set of bunk beds,a double bed, fridge, microwave,tv/remote and the best of all...there is a bathroom in the cabin!! and a sink in a small kitchenette!!

To us, it was camping with all the comforts of home! We are used to having to walk to the restrooms/showers at other places. Oh did I mention they even supplied linens...clean blankets/pillows and plenty of towels!! We are going here for now on. The price was unbeatable! It is so worth it! We wish we could have stayed longer.

We went to Daggett Lake based on the positive reviews. Our Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights had seasonal kids 10+ ranging from 7 through 18 that are left to run wild after dark and scream and yell until 10 p.m. not quiet at all. Their parents send them there to have some adult time. When they go home it is quiet until the following weekend, so be prepared. Bathhouse is not clean and is showing lots of wear and tear, fire pits are in a state of disrepair, campsites are not maintained. Too many dogs. We did speak to the owner about the noise but they didn't seem interested as seasonal seem to be their main source of income and most have been coming for years. Would not go back and unfortunately will not recommend it.

Worst camping experience ever. Site was double booked to begin our weekend so we didn't get the site we had reserved. We were awakened from our "peaceful solitude" at 4:30am by the "farm animals" whom roam freely through your campsite, picnic table and where ever else they care to leave their droppings.

Hold your breathe on your way to the bathrooms as the horses are located right next to the bathrooms and the potent stench of manure hangs heavy in the air especially on the warm summer nights.

At about 11pm on our second night the sky opened up and the inside of our boys tent had gotten wet. My wife was harassed by a man (apparently the owners husband)not even 2 minutes after she had turned on the car lights so the boys could see their way to the car(which, parking for the site was over 50 feet away from the site and not on the site as advertised) He came up to the car and scared my wife when he started screaming at and threatening her before she even knew who he was. He didn't even ask what the situation was or if everyone was ok. Then he sent his wife out to harass us. I will never go back to this campsite and wouldn't ever recommend this campsite to anyone. The only plus was the beautiful river and covered bridge which was overshadowed by our horrific experience. Send your farm animals here for vacation, not you friends and family.

we tried two sleep in tents but with the 4-wheelers running around our tents. The lady who got drunk and got into a fight with her other half at 3:00am didn't get much sleep. Would not stay again.
