The fifth-wheel was 28' .. total length of the ethernet cable was around 35'

The max length for USB 2.0 is 16' so I bought the usb-ethernet converter.

Thanks for reading.

A great idea.

Why did you use an ethernet to USB converter and not just ust an extended usb cable to connect the cam?

If you have the time I would really like to hear your reason as I use a laptop for Navigation, as well as AV entertainment, and being an Estate car with dark tint the idea has come to me as well and would like to hear your input.

Thanks for confirming that there is a better and less expensive way to have all the bells and whistles.

To be honest, you're 100% correct. . I had mine done last minute at RV America in Colorado and they only recommend the brakemaster.

The bracket that mounts to the seat stays in the Jeep. You can see the clip that secures the air cylinder to the brake pedal. The air cylinder actually clips on both sides (one to the bracket and one to the brake pedal). Then there is a quick connect for the air. When the vehicle isn't in tow, I stow the air cylinder under the drivers seat.

The whole process takes 30 seconds once you've done it a few times.

The brakemaster works just fine and I'd rather not mess with something that aint broke.

Why did you not go with the M&G brake. I had one in my last 4 Jeep. Just bought a new Lincoln and there is not enough room under the hood for it. It is located just in front of the vacuun assist. Once it is installed you NEVER have to touch. Out of site-out of the way. Once its installed you never see it again.
I just bought a new Lincoln MKX and it will not fit under the hood I'm thinking about the one you just bought. How much trouble is it to remove and put back in everyday??
Want to swap?? Bill Service--in Louisiana

Good Sams needs to work harder at finding reputable companies for mechanical problems. We recently had to use GS in Louisiana. We waited 4 1/2 hrs for assistance, then we were charged $300 to replace a fan belt. The companies name that came to 'help' was called <-- edited --> out of Springfield La. Stay away from them, the will screw you if given half the chance!

When you remove your negative cable from the battery, there is no danger of causing a short circuit. Also, due to the disconnected battery, the speedometer could be rendered inoperable and may not accumulate mileage while being towed flat.

One very important step - in owners manual - "remove neg battery terminal" before towing. I do not know why? but it is in the manual.
